About Halden Supply

Halden Supply distributes industrial consumables to manufacturers across three regions, with a buying team of nine serving several hundred internal requesters.

The challenge

“The Monday meeting existed because four systems disagreed and somebody had to decide which one was right.”

Requests arrived by email, approvals happened in chat, orders were raised in the ERP and receipts were tracked on a whiteboard. Nobody could see a request's status without asking the person holding it.

The solution

Every request now enters one intake and routes automatically by value and category. Approvers act where they already work, and the trail stays attached to the order rather than living in someone's inbox.

The results

“We cancelled the status meeting in the second week and nobody has asked to bring it back.”

Four tools were retired. Spend outside agreed contracts fell, mostly because the compliant path finally became the easy one.

Looking ahead

Halden is opening the same intake to its largest customers, so reorders arrive structured instead of as free text.
